Our Organic Milk

Nestled in Compton, in Quebec’s Eastern Townships near the Vermont border, our family farm stretches across a remarkable landscape in the heart of the Appalachians, with sweeping views of Mount Orford. If you travel along Hatley Road, you may catch a glimpse of our cows grazing peacefully in the fields, a simple reflection of the life that shapes everything we do.

An Organic Family Farm

Today, our family farm spans nearly 1,000 acres, all of it certified organic. Organic farming is at the heart of what we do and has long shaped the way we care for our land, our animals, and the food we produce. From the fields to the barn, every step is guided by a commitment to quality, sustainability, and respect for nature.

Our Cows and Pastures

Our herd includes 150 milking cows, all raised with care on our family farm. As soon as the season allows, they graze freely on our organic pastures, feeding on a rich variety of grasses and legumes. Their well-being, comfort, and nutrition all play an essential role in the quality and character of the milk we produce.

Growing What We Feed

Everything we feed our cows is grown on our own land. We produce our own hay, corn, barley, wheat, and even soybeans, allowing us to oversee every step with care. This autonomy is an important part of our farming philosophy and contributes directly to the quality of our milk.

Our Bulk Hay Dryer

A few years ago, we built a bulk hay dryer to provide our cows with forage of even greater nutritional quality. By drying hay gently and efficiently, this system helps preserve more of its nutrients and allows us to offer high-quality feed to our herd. It is one of the many investments we have made to support both animal welfare and milk quality.
